These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the Rekomi website, mobile application, and related services (together, the "Service"), provided by REKOMI LTD ("Rekomi", "we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (Company No. 17219783), based in London, United Kingdom.

By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. The service

Rekomi is a software platform and mobile application for saving, organising, and sharing recommendations and personal discoveries. We provide the Service "as is" and are continually improving it. Features may change over time.

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time, with or without notice. Some features may be released in beta form and may be modified, suspended, or removed without notice.

2. Your account

To use most features you'll need to create an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate information when you register.
  • Keep your login credentials secure.
  • Notify us promptly at support@rekomi.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised use of your account.
  • Be at least 13 years old (or the minimum digital consent age in your country).

You are responsible for all activity that takes place under your account.

3. Your content

Anything you save in Rekomi — places, recommendations, photos, notes, lists — remains yours. By using the Service, you grant Rekomi a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, display and process that content solely for the purpose of providing the Service to you.

You're responsible for the content you create. You agree not to upload anything that:

  • Infringes someone else's intellectual property or privacy.
  • Is illegal, defamatory, hateful, or harassing.
  • Contains malware or attempts to compromise the Service.

4. Acceptable use

When using Rekomi, please do not:

  • Attempt to access the Service or its data through unauthorised means.
  • Scrape, copy, or extract data from the Service at scale.
  • Use the Service to send spam or unsolicited communications.
  • Impersonate other people or organisations.
  • Use the Service in any way that violates applicable law.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that breach these Terms.

5. Intellectual property

The Rekomi name, logo, design, software, and other materials we provide are the intellectual property of REKOMI LTD or our licensors. You may use the Service only in accordance with these Terms and applicable law. Commercial resale, scraping, or unauthorised automated use of the Service is prohibited. Nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of our IP to you.

6. Privacy

Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy to understand what data we collect and how we use it.

7. Third-party services

The Service may link to or rely on third-party services (for example, map providers, authentication providers, or app stores). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms. We are not responsible for third-party content or services.

8. Termination

You can stop using Rekomi at any time and delete your account through the app or by emailing support@rekomi.co.uk. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if we are required to do so by law. On termination, the licences granted in these Terms end, and your data will be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimer

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the maximum extent permitted by law, we make no warranties, express or implied, about the Service. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or that any defects will be corrected.

Recommendations and content within the Service are user-generated. We do not endorse, verify, or guarantee the accuracy of recommendations made by users or by us.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, REKOMI LTD shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of your use of the Service.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for fraud, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date and notify you in the app or by email. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from these Terms or your use of the Service will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
